Carnival Rides to Return for Fridley 49er Days 2013

Fridley 49er Days will again feature carnival rides in 2013, according to an announcement posted Tuesday at the City of Fridley website.

After a two-year absence, "a variety of rides for all ages" will be back at the city's signature summertime festival, the announcement said.

Another new feature, a pie-baking contest, includes a $1,000 grand prize.

Home turf for the 2013 festival will be Medtronic's Rice Creek campus on Old Central Avenue.
