The Headwaters 5K is a Run and Walk to support children and families in need when natural disaster strikes. Funds raised will help feed children at an orphanage in Haiti, provide mental health services to survivors of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and bring volunteers to areas in the Midwest that are at risk of flooding, tornadoes and other natural disasters.
The Headwaters 5K is unique this year in that we have opportunities for participation both in the 5K event itself as well as in the fundraising campaign. This is YOUR opportunity to help people rebuild their lives after disaster strikes.
