Community Corner

WinterFest

The biggest day of the winter in Fridley is Saturday, Jan. 26, 1–4 p.m., when Winterfest activities take over the Fridley Community Center and Commons Park.

The focus is on families, with things to do both inside and out of doors.

Annual outdoor favorites include horse-drawn hayrides and dogsled rides, as well as skating and sledding (bring your own sleds and skates). Try the snowball launcher or hunt for the a medallion.

Indoors are games for kids and grownups, along with an art activity provided by the Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts.

Once again, the North Metro Youth mite-level hockey games for the K–4 will be played, as well as the Fridley Lions Waffle Breakfast, 8–11:30 a.m., at Fridley Community Center.
