Fridley Man Prepares for Two Polar Bear Plunges

Perhaps the people watching the mercury most closely are those signed up for a Polar Bear Plunge in coming days and weeks.

Cory Doyle of Fridley signed up for two: Jan. 26, 2013 at White Bear Lake and
Crystal Lake in the south metro on Feb. 23, 2013.

It's his third year doing this crazy stunt for a good cause.

So far (as of Jan. 17), Doyle has raised $185 towards the $1,200 he hopes to raise for Special Olympics Minnesota.
