Fridley Man Seriously Injured in Sunday Morning Crash
An SUV traveling south on Highway 65 hit a car traveling west on 73rd Avenue NE in Fridley, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The blacktop was wet at the intersection of Highway 65 and 73rd Avenue NE in Fridley at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday when a SUV hit a car broadside, injuring both drivers, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
A Fridley man, 26, who was driving the car, a 2008 Saturn Astra, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with "serious injuries," the State Patrol reported. Injuries to a Blaine woman, 45, who was driving a 2004 Toyota RAV4 SUV were "non-life threatening." She was taken to Mercy Hospital. There were no other persons involved in the crash.
The SUV was traveling southbound on Highway 65 and the car was traveling west on 73rd Avenue at the time of the crash. Airbags in both vehicles deployed, according to the State Patrol report. Both vehicles suffered severe damage.
