Hill-Murray Football Coach Mauer Quits
Fridley Police cited him Feb. 19 on soliciting-prostitution charge, one of 23 arrests in two-day police detail at LivInn Hotel.

Mark Mauer has resigned as head varsity football coach at Hill-Murray School, according to media reports Monday afternoon.
Mauer was one of 19 men arrested Feb. 19 and charged with soliciting prostitution in an undercover police operation at the LivInn Hotel in Fridley.
His resignation is effective immediately, according to KSTP-TV.

Fridley Patch reported Friday that the . He had previously coached for several schools at the college level, played quarterback for the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers, and served briefly as a St. Paul City Council member.
Mauer also worked as a major-gifts officer at Hill-Murray, the Star Tribune reported.
