It's Another Three-fer Year for Fridley-area HIgh School Dance Teams
Fridley, Spring Lake Park and Totino-Grace head to state tournament.
The Fridley area continues to be a powerhouse in high school dance competition, with three local schools again sending teams to the state tournament.
That's after a Saturday of success in sectional competition that led , , and high school to qualify in both jazz and high kick, according to two of the teams' big fans—Spring Lake Park Schools Superintendent Jeff Ronneberg and Fridley Fire Chief John Berg.
Fridley and Totino-Grace compete in Class AA; their 2AA sectional competition took place at Chisago Lakes High School, with the E'gals taking the top spots in jazz and kick and Fridley right behind them in second place.

Spring Lake Park competes in Class AAA, with their 3AAA sections at Bloomington-Kennedy High School. The Pantherettes took first in both jazz and kick.
Last year, with the dance program, The 2012 tournament will be next weekend, Feb. 17–18, again at Target Center.
