The Northeast Orchestra based in Fridley will offer a concert, “A Jubilee of Music,” on Sunday, November 10, 3:00 p.m. at Church of St. William, 61st Ave just east of University and north of I-694 in Fridley. The concert is also in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Church of St. William and features “Requiem” by Gabriel Fauré sung by the Choir of St. William’s and the Normandale College Choir and two notable soloists, Jane Giering-De Haan, soprano, and Philip Sawisza, baritone. The orchestra will also play “Jubilee” by Ron Nelson, “Chorale-Prelude: Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme by Bach,” and Symphony No. 8, “Unfinished” by Franz Schubert. The orchestra is conducted by Dr. Jeffrey Stirling and the choral group by Dr. Marc Jaros.
