READ: Crime Alert after First-degree Burglary on Hillcrest Drive in Fridley
Police say it happened about 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
The Fridley Police Department has issued a crime alert following what they describe as the first-degree burglary of a home Wednesday evening in the 1300 block of Hillcrest Drive, just east of .
A resident returning home noticed moved or missing items and heard voices and other sounds of people upstairs, according to the alert. The resident immediately left the house, which police said is the right thing to do in that situation.
After apparently forcing open a patio door, the burglar or burglars took items including video game systems, laptop computers, a TV and a computer monitor, police said.
