The Fridley Police Department issued a crime alert Monday after the Sunday night arrest of a man who they say broke into a home in the 6400 block of Riverview Terrace NE, north of .

According to the crime alert, homeowners discovered the man in a bedroom around 9 p.m. Sunday. He escaped, taking keys, and locked himself in the homeowners' vehicle, from which police were able to remove him and then arrest him.
