Reports: Fridley Grass Fire Near Park Construction along BNSF Tracks

A brush fire along the railroad tracks at about 81st was burning nearby businesses and drew response from several fire departments.

Update (10:45 a.m. Friday): "Fire is under control," according to a commenter at Police Clips.

Original post: The Fridley Fire Department and units from several neighboring cities are responding to a grass fire along the BNSF rail tracks at about 81st Avenue NE in Fridley. The fire is near Park Construction, according to scanner reports.

  • I couldn't figure out what all the sirens were for and the Fridley scanner is offline at the moment. Pretty scary hearing all that noise, but not being able to find out what's going on.
