Totino-Grace Girls Soccer Bests St. Peter

The girls soccer team advanced to the Class A state semifinals on Friday thanks to a nail-biting 1-0 win over St. Peter at Roseville Area High School.

The Eagles scored just before halftime to take the 1-0 lead. Jennifer Nichasch found the net 35:48 into the game, and Totino-Grace held on for victory.

The Eagles (14-4-2) had 15 shots in the game to St. Peter’s five.

Totino-Grace will face unbeaten Benilde-St. Margaret’s (17-0-3) in the state semifinals. Game time is set for 2 p.m. on Monday at the Metrodome.
