Totino-Grace Shuts Out Spring Lake Park in Softball Section Quarterfinals

The softball team advanced in the Section 5AAA playoffs with a dominant victory over on Tuesday afternoon.   Eagles pitcher Erica Meyer gave up only two hits and struck out seven. She also contributed on three runs and batted three-for-three. Other notable contributors for Totino-Grace were Nicole Rogers and Caroline Ponessa. Rogers went four-four with three RBIs and two home runs while Ponessa went two-for-four with a grand slam and four RBIs. The Eagles next face Mounds View Thursday in the Section 5AAA semifinals.
