A Cruising Way to Benefit Hungry Families in Robbinsdale Area Schools

Kids, Backpacks and Food, a fun evening cruise of connecting and networking to raise money for the Kid Pack Program in Robbinsdale Area Schools, will be held on Thursday, September 19 from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Lake Minnetonka.  The casual and fun event aboard the Our Lady of Excelsior, presented by Beth Schupanitz of Inspiring Health Solutions and Rebecca Metz of Fan Pages the Sell,  will include a meal in the full price of the cruise.

The Kid Pack program in Robbinsdale Area Schools sends children home with a backpack of food on the weekends so they continue to get nutritious food while away from school.  One in five households in Minnesota are experiencing food insecurity, and often times these households have to make difficult decisions between purchasing food or paying mortgage/rent or medicine.  Hungry children face unnecessary barriers as they strive to become healthy, productive and engaged members of our society.
