"Are You Being Fleeced?"
Learn tips to safeguard against identity theft during Nov. 4 workshop at Covenant Village of Golden Valley
Approximately 15 million Americans are victims of identity theft each year, and senior adults are more at risk than any other age group, according to the National Crime Prevention Council. Learn how to safeguard yourself and your finances during “Are You Being Fleeced?” – an educational workshop hosted by Covenant Village of Golden Valley on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, at 1 p.m.
Steve Allison is a certified financial planner with Covenant Trust Company, Golden Valley, Minn. He will highlight common scams used to target senior adults, and then offer tips to help reduce the possibility of being targeted. Learn red flags to look for and how to build checks and balances into your finances to avoid being fleeced.
