Armstrong Cross Country Competes in Bauman/Rovn Invitational

Emily Knapczyk takes first as the boys and girls teams competed in Minnetrista on Thursday.

The Robbinsdale Armstrong boys and girls cross country teams competed at the Bauman/Rovn Cross Country Invitational hosted by Hopkins at Gale Woods Farm on Thursday in Minnetrista.

The girls squad took seventh overall. Senior Emily Knapczyk led the way for the Falcons, placing first overall out of 139 runners with a 15:04.6 finish on the day. Sophomore Anna Nachbor took ninth overall, senior Melissa Cabak took 14th and senior Anna Hjerpe took 87th. Junior Alison Domigues took 88th, Megan Stuart took 94th and Emily Delaney took 95th.

The Falcons took 14th place out of 14 teams on the boys side. Freshman Nathan Coleman took 28th place overall to lead the team, while senior Alex Rogers took 71st, sophomore Jon Daleney took 86th overall and junior Joel Thayer took 90th. Senior Jon Cabak took 91st, freshman Tim Hill took 93rd and sophomore Paul Gross took 94th.
