Attend Virtual Voter Access Forum On October 8 In Golden Valley

The City of Golden Valley is hosting a virtual forum on Voter Access Oct 8, 6–7:30 pm via Cisco Webex. Residents and community members are encouraged to tune in live via Facebook, Cable Channel 16, or ccxmedia.org and participate via Facebook or phone.

Voting is a fundamental right and privilege of every American citizen. Over time, barriers were erected that gave some groups more of a voice than others. This moderated forum will explore the historical context of the voting process and panelist will discuss current barriers to voting that people face, including COVID.

Following the discussion, viewers will be encouraged to submit questions via Facebook or call in for the Q & A segment.

The event will be broadcast on CCX Channel 16 and streamed at ccxmedia.org and on the City’s Facebook page.
