Retirement: New Stage in Life, Time for a New Financial Advisor

When you have a sinus infection, you wouldn’t make an appointment with a surgeon, right?  You want to see the right kind of specialist for your health need.  To keep your finances healthy, when you are in or near retirement, you also need a specialist.  And just like many physicians have specialties, financial advisors do too.

Since this is my first blog, I thought I’d introduce myself.  I am President of Secured Retirement Advisors, LLC - a financial company in the Twin Cities that specializes in retirement planning.

My goal is to ensure that retirees maintain the same quality of life (or better!) during their retirement.  Our team of specialists meets and works closely with our clients to evaluate their current financial health, to set retirement goals and to strategize on how we can assist them in achieving their goals.  

For those living in retirement, it is no longer only about the returns on your investments, but it is also about reducing taxation and maximizing your lifetime income from your savings. At Secured Retirement Advisors, we help our clients build a unique and comprehensive plan that combines income and tax strategies along with a prudent investment strategy. 

We also educate our clients about social security benefits—the right social security election is an important decision of your retirement.  I’ll blog more about this topic in my future posts.

In retirement, you are in a new stage of life with a new routine, new income streams, new medical plan and new priorities.  It’s the perfect time to get a new opinion from a new advisor. There isn’t a one size fits all retirement plan so what your friends are doing with their money may not be right for you.
