Brain health expert shares how memoir writing is good for the brain
Dr. Linda Sasser to present "From Memories to Memoir" at Covenant Village of Golden Valley

The written word is a powerful tool in our efforts to boost brain health. Brain health expert Dr. Linda Sasser will explain how during her presentation “From Memories to Memoir” on Tuesday, April 19 at 1 p.m. at Covenant Village of Golden Valley, a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities.
Writing a memoir triggers memories, stimulates the mind, and has the added benefit of creating a legacy for family and friends. During Sasser’s workshop, guests will learn the various formats of memoir writing and walk away inspired, ready to strengthen their minds and their memories.
Sasser holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology and has more than 30 years of experience as a university professor, workshop facilitator, and professional speaker. She started her business, Brain and Memory Health, to address growing concerns regarding Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
