Breck School Fall Drama Festival

The Breck School Performing Arts Department announces its Fall Drama Festival, November 14 and 15, and 21 and 22. Come and be entertained!

Breck School Fall Drama Festival

This year, the Breck School Performing Arts Department features two dazzling plays: Antigone, Sophocles’ haunting tragedy of a woman’s courageous rebellion against authoritarian rule and the society that confines her; and Wendy Wasserstein’s award winning comedy, The Heidi Chronicles, a funny and touching commentary on life and the timeless search for self discovery, that asks, “can women have it all?” Director Tom Hegg has put together a strong student cast for each play. Antigone runs November 14 and 15, and The Heidi Chronicles runs November 21 and 22.

Each production starts at 7:30 pm in the Cargill Theater on the Breck Campus (123 Ottawa Avenue North, Golden Valley, MN 55422). General Admission tickets are just $5.00 and are available at the door 30 minutes before the show. And, in honor of these productions, and knowing that Wasserstein’s lead character “Heidi” is a professor of art history, Breck Student Artists will exhibit their recent artistic creations as part of the production scenery in an on-stage Art Exhibit. The Exhibit will remain open for 30 minutes after each performance for viewing pleasure.
