Weather cooperates on Thursday and athletic teams take advantage.

Several mid-week games were lost to postponement yet again, yet Mother Nature cooperated at last on Thursday and local teams were able to at last get in the bulk of a full day's worth of competitions.

Behind four goals apiece from Paige Duerksen and Talia Shapiro, the Robbinsdale Armstrong girls lacrosse team thumped Blaine, 12-5, at home on Wednesday night to improve to 4-2 on the spring.

JJ Cruikshank, Steve Cox and Julien Chamleusouk each scored twice in the victory, with the Hawks now preparing for a home game against Spring Lake Park at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
