Easter confronts people with the unbelievable news of a Messiah risen from the dead—the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Such a significant event beckons the question: “Do I really believe it?” Calvary Lutheran Church, Golden Valley, Minn., invites the public to consider this question in greater depth through a free movie night featuring “Do You Believe?” The movie will be shown on Sunday, April 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Calvary’s Sanctuary at 7520 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley.
Free childcare for infants through elementary-age children will be available from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and may be reserved by calling 763-231-2949. Free refreshments will be served both prior to and following the movie.
Rated PG-13, “Do You Believe?” stars such big names as Mira Sorvino, Sean Astin, Cybill Shepherd and Lee Majors, and follows a dozen different souls, all moving in different directions, all longing for something more. The movie was released in 2015 by Pure Flix Entertainment, which also produced “God’s Not Dead” in 2014.
