Calvary Invites the Public to Free Community Christmas Party on D

Variety of Special Worship Services Also Planned Over Holiday Season

GOLDEN VALLEY, MINN. (Dec. 4, 2017) – Christmas—it’s not your typical story. In fact, there were a number of “misfits” who welcomed Jesus to the world, and all creatures on earth can still celebrate their special place in the crazy, amazing Christmas story today!

Such is the inspiration behind a Community Christmas Party taking place on Wednesday, Dec. 13. The public is invited to this event, as well as several special worship services, being hosted by Calvary Lutheran Church, 7520 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, Minn., over the holiday season.

The Community Christmas Party will feature a free dinner—including homemade Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, roll, dessert and beverage—which will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. A Christmas carol sing-along, activities, crafts, games, a photo booth, a silent auction benefiting Feed My Starving Children, and several musical ensembles will also be part of the evening. The highlight of the event will be a performance of “A Misfit Christmas” by Theater for the Thirsty, a local husband-and-wife performance team who specializes in imaginative, music-infused, family-friendly productions that stir the soul. This grand finalé, including special music and other surprises, will take place at 7 p.m.
