City Council Seeking Golden Valley Representatives To Serve On METRO Blue Line Advisory Committees

By the end of 2021, the project team plans to have a new route that has the support of corridor residents, businesses, and cities.

In August 2020, the Metropolitan Council and Hennepin County announced the METRO Blue Line Extension Light Rail Transit (LRT) project will no longer follow the initially planned route and will need to find an improved route location that does not use approximately 8 miles of freight railroad property as proposed.

Serve On A Project Advisory Committee

The City of Golden Valley is looking for residents and business representatives to serve on two Blue Line LRT volunteer advisory committees—the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) and the Business Advisory Committee (BAC). Each committee will provide guidance to the Metropolitan Council and Hennepin County throughout the Blue Line project and assist in developing communications and community engagement activities.
