Well the day that we have been working towards is nearly upon us. Tomorrow, November 5th, the voters of Golden Valley will elect up to three new members to the city council. This past weekend we were able to drop literature at an additional 800 homes and during that time I had the opportunity to talk with a lot of people that were getting the last of the yard work done as winter quickly approaches. The message I have been sharing and will lay out here is around the 3 P's.
Property Taxes - lets not let our budget to continue to increase. This years increase will cost a 200k home an additional $60 next year. That does not take into account what the county will do.
Private Property Rights - we can't redefine neighborhoods by rezoning those neighborhoods for multi-unit housing if that has not already been in the city plan.
Positive Momentum - Golden Valley is a great place to live and it is my goal to have a part in keeping it that way. The previous councils have done great work and are leaving this next group a clean house.
I ask for your vote tomorrow and should I earn that honor I will make sure that my focus, day in and day out, will be to do what is best for the residents of Golden Valley.
