Cooper Students Selected for Prestigious Internships

Six Cooper students will participate in an internship during their senior year.

Six talented Cooper High School students are definitely on the road to success.  They have been selected to participate in Genesys Works, a program which enables high school seniors to work in meaningful internships at major corporations during their senior year.

Devin Daye, Grace Kariuki, Waqas Khan, Gao la Lor, TouMong Vang, and Joel Vodis, currently juniors, will go through a rigorous eight-week training program this summer with Genesys Works, and will then work part time throughout their senior year next year at one of over 30 companies in the Twin Cities, including 3M, United Health Group, Ecolab and more.  The students will become armed with the knowledge needed to succeed in corporate America.

This ten-year old program boasts a high success rate:  95% of Genesys graduates go on to college.  Genesys Works is located in Chicago, Houston and the Twin Cities.  Robbinsdale Cooper High School doubled the number of accepted students this year.
