The Tibetan Book of the Dead - a play at Arts High School

The first year class at the Arts High School presents The Tibetan Book of the Dead, by Jean Claude van Itallie. Under the direction of Theater Arts Instructor BarbaraMorin and associate director and movement coach Bonnie Bottoms, the students will perform the imaginistic work, filled with poetry, dance, music and mime. The play is based on the classic Tibetan Buddhist text, read to guide the dying through their journey from death toward nirvana or rebirth.  While offering a road map to the dying, it is also a profound reflection upon the choices one makes in life.  

The show is onstage in the Black Box Theater at the Perpich Center for Arts Education, 6125 Olson Memorial Highway, Golden Valley on December 8, 9, 10 and 11 at 7:30 p.m. For reservations and ticket information, call 763-591-4769.
