Explore the beauty and history of Minnesota with photographer Doug Ohman

On June 18, 2014, at 1 p.m. CDT, photographer Doug Ohman will share his favorite photos and stories from six books in his “Minnesota Byways” series at Covenant Village of Golden Valley, a faith-based, not-for-profit, continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities.

The photographer behind the sumptuous photographic survey showcasing Minnesota’s classic architectural icons, Ohman will share his favorite photos and stories from the “Minnesota Byways” books on barns, churches, courthouses, schoolhouses, cabins and libraries.

In addition to working with the Minnesota Historical Society for 10 years on the popular “Minnesota Byways” series, Ohman has traveled the upper Midwest photographing historic architecture. His work capturing historical sites and structures that are quickly being lost to history has been widely published in magazines, calendars and books.
