Former Gov. Al Quie Presents “Faith & the Ballot Box”
Calvary Invites Public to Free Special Event on Oct. 19

As the presidential election approaches, many people are wrestling with the current political climate and the options for candidates, on top of how to reconcile their voting decisions with their personal faith and values. In light of this reality, the public is invited to join former Gov. Al Quie for “Faith & the Ballot Box” on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 9:30 a.m. The free event will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church, 7520 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, Minn.
Prior to serving as Minnesota’s 35th governor (1979-1983), Quie held seats in the Minnesota Senate (1955-1958) and the U.S. House of Representatives (1958–1979). On top of these achievements, he is admired for his strong faith, be it demonstrated in the political arena or other areas of life.
Quie’s presentation on Oct. 19 will focus primarily on how to make informed decisions within the context of faith and how faith can help people address various political issues and navigate the current political landscape.
