Three Rivers Park District plans to seek federal funding in 2020 to construct a multi-use trail along the south side of Golden Valley Rd from Regent St to Bonnie Ln. Funding will also enable improvements to the existing trail section between Regent St and Douglas Dr. The City of Golden Valley would like resident input on the proposed project.

To gather public input, the City, Hennepin County, Three Rivers held an open house Dec 19, 2019 at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute to share project designs for the Bassett Creek Regional Trail Expansion.

More open houses are expected to be scheduled throughout the project. Learn more about the proposed trail on letstalkthreerivers.org.

Three Rivers Park District is preparing 60 percent design plans for the trail to submit with the federal funding application. If the application is successful, funding is expected to be available in 2024.
