At the meeting, representatives from the City and Hoisington Koegler Group (HKGi), the City’s planning consultant, presented the Interim Report which included background on the project; feedback from residents on redevelopment scenarios of the southwest, northwest, and northeast quadrants; potential improvements to the bicycle and pedestrian network; and more. The full presentation can be reviewed here.

The City will now look forward to Phase III of the project which will result in revised concepts for each quadrant, a vision statement and guiding principles for redevelopment, and a final small area plan for Golden Valley’s downtown. Phase III is expected to start within the first few months of 2020 and should be completed by the end of the year.
