The City of Golden Valley Parks & Recreation Department recently received two Awards of Excellence from the Minnesota Recreation and Parks Association (MRPA), for its work in 2020.

The department was recognized in the category of Programming and Events for HomeRECed and the Virtual Bike Rodeo.

The MRPA Awards of Excellence recognize agencies, organizations, and institutions in Minnesota for their outstanding and unique accomplishments in recreation, parks, facilities, and leisure services. Awards are given in the categories of Marketing & Communications, Parks & Facilities, Programming & Events, Sponsorships & Partnerships, Volunteer Initiatives, and Administrative.
