Golden Valley PD Canceling Jan. 16 Academy Class
The Golden Valley Police Department has canceled its Jan 16 GVPD University Citizen's Academy class.
From the City of Golden Valley: The Golden Valley Police Department has canceled its Jan. 16 GVPD University Citizen’s Academy class. Signups are still open for the Feb. 20 and March 12 classes.
Citizen’s Academy offers Golden Valley residents the chance to go behind the scenes for an in-depth look at the city’s police and fire departments and learn about things like patrol, training, SWAT, much more. Participants will even get the opportunity to extinguish a live fire at the March 12 class. Classes are free and open to anyone, though some courses are more adult-oriented than others.
