Golden Valley Resident Brings New Style to Maple Grove Salon

It’s been a busy year for Willow Salon in Maple Grove.

Although the salon has been part of the Maple Grove community since 2008, Golden Valley resident Nicole Buske came on board as the new owner in June 2012.

Since the ownership transfer, the front of the salon has been redone, new staff members have started and Buske continually keeps an eye on up-to-date trends and education opportunities for her staff. 

“I’ve been doing hair for 12 years – it’s been a dream of mine to own a salon,” Buske said. “Staff has made the transition easy.  It really is a team environment.”

Specialties such as hair cutting, color and styling continue to be the focus at Willow Salon, located at Grove Square.

“We’re not the biggest salon in the area, but we have the best stylists,” Buske said.

The salon stylists have expanded their specialties as well, occasionally catering to wedding parties on or off site or blowout parities.

“It is a really personal environment. Clients can feel comfortable seeing anyone on the team,” she said.
