Golden Valley Search Dogs Assist in Hunt for Kira Trevino

Trevino's husband has been charged with second-degree murder, although Kira Trevino's body has not yet been found.

A Golden Valley K-9 search and rescue organization has been involved in the search for a missing St. Paul woman who’s presumed dead.

Dogs from Northstar Search and Rescue have combed the ice of Keller Lake in Maplewood as part of the search for 30-year-old Kira Steger Trevino, the Pioneer Press reported Friday.

Trevino was last seen in public Feb. 21—although her husband, 39-year-old Jeffery Trevino reported her missing Feb. 24. Prosecutors charged him with second-degree murder four days later, but Kira Trevino’s body has not been found.
