It was a long afternoon for the Fridley softball team, as the Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks thumped the Tigers 10 - 0 in five innings on Thursday.
The Tigers pitching combination of Nicole Varichak and Emily Amsler could do little to stop the powerful Hawks line-up.
Leading 5 - 0 in the fifth inning, Nathalee Boissiere of the Hawks cracked a three-run homer over the left field fence to make the score 9 - 0. After adding an additional run with two outs, the 10 run rule was put into effect.
