Heather Bell Appointed Healthcare Administrator

at Colonial Acres, the health care center at Covenant Village of Golden Valley

Heather Bell has been appointed healthcare administrator at Colonial Acres, the health care center at Covenant Village of Golden Valley, a faith-based continuing care retirement community (CCRC) administered by Covenant Retirement Communities, the nation’s sixth largest non-profit senior services provider. She reports to Executive Director Jim Angell and oversees a staff of 115.

Colonial Acres provides assisted living, skilled nursing, memory support, and short- and long-term care to Covenant Village of Golden Valley residents and non-residents alike.

In previous positions, Bell has served as executive director and administrator at Highland Chateau Health and Rehabilitation Center, St. Paul, Minn., and as administrator-in-training at Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls, Wisc.

A licensed nursing home administrator in Minnesota, Bell holds two bachelor’s degrees, one in business administration with a major in healthcare administration from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire; the other in business administration with an emphasis in quality management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Menomonie.

Bell is a member of the Saint Paul Chamber of Commerce, LeadingAge Minnesota, and Lake Superior Quality Innovation Network. She is co-founder, vice president and organizer of the Oz Run in Chippewa Valley, for which she continues to raise funds and awareness of area organizations while promoting family fitness.
