Ilah Raleigh, Perpich Music Instructor, Appointed to Cohort
She was recently appointed to Education Minnesota's second Racial Equity Advocate (REA) cohort for Minnesota Educator Academy's FIRE.

Congratulations to Ilah Raleigh, Music Instructor, on her recent appointment to Education Minnesota's second Racial Equity Advocate (REA) cohort for the Minnesota Educator Academy's FIRE program. FIRE is the Minnesota Educator Academy's Anti-Racism Program, and the acronym stands for Facing Inequities and Racism in Education. To learn more about the program click here.
Ms. Raleigh earned a Master of Music, Vocal Performance, from the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. She has performed with the Washington National Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, and Orlando Opera. Locally she has appeared with Minnesota Opera, on the MacPhail Spotlight Series, and at Thursday Musical events throughout Minnesota. As a music educator, Ms. Raleigh has taught at Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, serving three years as Vocal Arts Department Chair; MacPhail Center for Music, and Mount Calvary Academy of Music. Ms. Raleigh is currently pursuing a doctorate in Education Leadership and Learning from the University of St. Thomas.
