Covenant Village of Golden Valley appoints new executive director
Jim Angell joins faith-based, not-for-profit retirement community

Jim Angell has been appointed executive director at Covenant Village of Golden Valley, a faith-based continuing care retirement community operated by Covenant Retirement Communities, Inc. (CRC), the nation’s sixth largest not-for-profit senior services provider.
As executive director, Angell oversees all operations and staff management at the community, which serves 350-plus residents in residential living, assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, and short-term rehab. He directs a staff of 175 and reports to Joshua Anderson, associate vice president of operations for CRC.
Angell has worked in senior housing and health care for 22 years. He joins Covenant Village after nearly 16 years with Presbyterian Homes & Services, where he served as campus administrator at Castle Ridge Care Center, Eden Prairie, Minn., Timber Hills, Inver Grove Heights, Minn., and Beacon Hill, Minnetonka, Minn., respectively.

In addition to being a licensed long-term care administrator, Angell holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He has been a member of LeadingAge Minnesota, River Heights Chamber of Commerce, and Care Choice Board.
Angell lives in the Minneapolis area.
