Join Golden Valley’s Partners In Energy Planning Team

The planning team will consist of 12 member and will also include up to two staff member and one Minnesota Greencorps Member.

The City of Golden Valley is in need of residents and local business owners and leaders for its Xcel Energy Partners In Energy (PIE) Planning Team. Applications can be found on the City website and submitted to eeckman@goldenvalleymn.gov.

The PIE initiative was designed to provide communities with necessary resources to develop and implement energy action plans that reflect their vision for shaping energy use and supply in the future. The planning team will consist of 12 member and will also include up to two staff member and one Minnesota Greencorps Member.

Member commitments and duties include:

  • attending up to three to five facilitated workshops over six months;
  • attend meetings starting in July or August 2020 that occur every four to five weeks (meeting dates will be provided after the first meeting is set);
  • bringing a unique perspective and experience to help the City develop an energy vision, goals, priorities, and actions resulting in the creation of a strategic energy action plan for the entire community.
