September 15 – October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month! It’s a time for Americans to celebrate “the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.” Reading fiction is a wonderful way to gain empathy and understanding about people who are different from yourself.
