Lung Association Recognizes Golden Valley Firefighters

Several were presented awards by the American Lung Association at the April 5 City Council meeting for their participation in the annual Fight for Air Stair Climb for the American Lung Association.

Firefighters Ken Bence, Steve Yingst, Steve Baker, Ben Vogal, Bryan Magnuson, Andy Hutson, Brent Hadoff and Gregg Preset made up “Team Golden Valley” which raised nearly $10,000 in February for the American Lung Association.

For three of the four years the team participated in the Fight for Air Stair Climb, "Team Golden Valley" was the top fundraising team among 38 other Fire Departments.
