New Version Issue Of Citynews Needs Schedule Of Events Update
The Organics Recycling Open House scheduled for April 9 is postponed. The event is expected to be rescheduled for late spring/early summer.

The City of Golden Valley’s March/April issue of CityNews was completed prior to the City-wide shutdown of facilities and the cancellation of programs and event through April 3 due to the COVID-19 outbreak. As a result, details regarding events and programs have changed.

Organics Recycling Open House
The Organics Recycling Open House scheduled for April 9 is postponed. The event is expected to be rescheduled for late spring/early summer.
Pet Leashing Ordinance
The City Council was originally scheduled to hold a first consideration of the new pet leashing ordinance at its April 7 meeting. Since the meeting is expected to be held via live stream, the item has been removed from the agenda. The public hearing has not yet been rescheduled.

Run The Valley
The Golden Valley Human Services Commission’s annual Run the Valley is postponed and there is currently no new date for the race.
Sweeney Lake Water Quality Improvement Project
The Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission’s (BCWMC) open house for the Sweeney Lake Water Quality Improvement Project was originally scheduled for April 8 at Brookview. The open house will now be held virtually. A link for the live WebEx presentation and a question and answer session will be posted on the BCWMC website prior to the event, along with guidance for joining the virtual event.
