Public Invited to Presentations on Connecting with & Raising the “Smartphone Generation”
Jonathan McKee, International Parenting Expert & Author, to Visit Calvary on Sept. 17

According to Pew Research Center, 95 percent of teens use the Internet and 74 percent are mobile Internet users. How as parents, grandparents, teachers, etc., do we respond to and engage in meaningful conversation with kids and teenagers about the ways they are choosing to utilize the technology at their fingertips? Calvary Lutheran Church, Golden Valley, Minn., invites the public to find out on Sunday, Sept. 17.
Jonathan McKee, an internationally known parenting expert and author, will speak at Calvary during its morning worship services at 7:50, 9 and 10:30 a.m. on the topic “Open the Doors of Dialogue in Your Home, Your Community... Your World.” McKee will also lead a “Parenting the Smartphone Generation” seminar from 6 to 8 p.m. to offer more practical teaching and advice about the world of social media and how to connect with kids. All presentations will be free of charge and located at 7520 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley.
In addition to sharing from his own experience of parenting teenagers and 20-plus years of working in youth ministry, McKee will offer insights from his more than 20 books, including the brand new If I Had a Parenting Do Over, 52 Ways to Connect with Your Smartphone Obsessed Kid and the Amazon “Best Seller” The Guy’s Guide to God, Girls and the Phone in Your Pocket.
