Local teams got in a good share of games on Friday as the weather cooperated enough for a full slate of baseball, softball and lacrosse matchups.
Cooper Baseball: Hawks 12, North Branch 2
The Robbinsdale Cooper baseball team remained unbeaten in the North Suburban Conference at 5-0 with a 12-2 defeat of visiting North Branch on Friday. Individual statistics were not available. The Hawks enter this week at 8-0 overall.

A 5-4 defeat of Wayzata at home on Friday night improved the Hopkins softball team to 9-0 overall and 4-0 in the Lake. Pitcher Morgan Nybo earned the win with a complete-game performance.

Benilde-St. Margaret's Baseball: Red Knights 11, Orioles 7
The Benilde-St. Margaret's baseball team claimed a season sweep against St. Louis Park with an 11-7 victory on Friday night.
A five-run fifth inning clinched the contest for the Red Knights, who earned the win after a seventh-inning rally from the host Orioles fell short at Dakota Park.
Joe Melles had a team-high four runs batted in, while Greg Ziman drove in three runs for BSM, with teammate Patrick Daly going 3-for-3 at the plate with a single, double and triple and three runs scored.

Stevel Kiesel scored both goals for the Mustangs, who fell to 1-4 with the loss.

The Benilde-St. Margaret's girls lacrosse team improved to 3-2 on the season with a 9-5 win at Breck on Friday.
Paige Lawlor led the Red Knights with three goals, with Abby Grunewald, Hailey Hansen, Christine Gunderson, Caitlin Reilly and Sara Taffe each logging one goal apiece.

Kate Schipper drove in three runs for the Mustangs on a 2-for-5 day at the plate, while she and Megan Sweet each scored two runs apiece; Libbey Castle notched two RBI, with Schipper pitching Breck to the win with 12 strikeouts in a complete game.
