Registration Now Open for Calvary's "Summer Adventures"

Signs of spring today remind us to plan now for the summer ahead! With that in mind, Calvary Lutheran Church, Golden Valley, Minn., invites the community to participate in its various “adventures” scheduled in June, July and August for children, youth and families.

Days camps will occur on Calvary’s campus at 7520 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, and will include:

• “Cave Quest” (Vacation Bible School) – June 6-10, 9:30-11:30 a.m., for children 3½ years old through Kindergarten, and June 13-17, 9:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m., for children 4½ years old through completed grade 6. Volunteer opportunities are available for older students and adults.
• Music Camp: “The Good News Cruise” – July 18-22, 9 a.m.-noon, for completed grades 2-6 (public performance on Friday, July 22, at noon).
• “Summer Impact” – Aug. 1-4, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., for completed grades 5-6.

Camp Wapo, Amery, Wis., will serve as the site of a weekend camp (July 22-24) for completed grades 2-3 and a week-long camp (July 24-29) for completed grades 4-12.

Camp Wapo will also be the location of Calvary’s family camp weekend (July 22-24) for all ages; a week-long family camp (July 9-15) will be held at Mount Carmel, Alexandria, Minn.

Students are also invited to take part in Calvary’s summer mission trips. Completed grades 6-8 will travel to and serve the community of Rapid City, S.D., from June 19-25. A trip to New Orleans, La., is planned for completed grades 9-12 from June 18-26.
