Robbinsdale Hall of Fame Ceremony Saturday

A former teacher and coach will be inducted into the Robbinsdale Cooper High School Hall of Fame on Saturday.

The family of Ert Jones-Hermerding, longtime Cooper High School Theatre director and football coach, will accept the honor. The event is scheduled for April 21, 2012 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Robbinsdale Cooper High School auditorium.The public is invited to attend.

Jones-Hermerding died in a motorcycle accident in the summer of 2009.  He retired six years earlier after 34 years of service with the district.

Sophomore Stephanie Sikkila, who would ultimately like to have the school auditorium named after Jones-Hermerding, inspired the ceremony. The Robbinsdale School Board is still considering the .
