The ExploraVision competition encourages students in grades K-12 of all interests, skill and ability levels to demonstrate innovative thinking in their exploration of science and its impact on technology and the future. The competition is open to students in the United States and Canada. Robbinsdale Middle School has been participating in this competition for several years. This year, twenty-three projects were submitted to the contest by RMS science teacher Todd Norholm, who helped to guide these students in their quest to invent a new technology.

“I was so nervous scrolling down through the email I received,” stated Norholm. “When I saw that we had three out of the seven honorable mention award winners in the whole state, I couldn’t believe it! I was especially happy to discover that one team from each of my three science classes won. These
wonderful kids poured their hearts and souls into this project. I’m so proud of them – it’s the highlight of my year!”
