After his death several years ago, several community members suggested naming the auditorium in his honor, and this year, CHS sophomore Stephanie Sikkila has resurrected that proposal as part of her Personal Project for the
International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme at Cooper. The district formed a committee to consider naming requests, which ultimately are approved by the School Board.
A public email account has been created to solicit feedback on the proposal to have the CHS auditorium named after Mr. Jones-Hermerding. You can weigh in on the proposal by emailing Key_Communicators@rdale.org and give your opinion on this naming, or you can suggest a name to be considered as well.
