Robbinsdale Schools Seeks Applicants for Financial Advisory Council
The school board is looking for two people to fill the open spots.

Do you want a direct say in how money is being spent on your child's education? If you're a Robbinsdale Area Schools parent, consider applying for one of two open positions on the Financial Advisory Council.
Communications director Tia Clasen provided the following job description to Patch:
"The purpose of the Financial Advisory Council is to provide financial advice and to support the school board and senior administration. The council evaluates the district’s economic condition, helps develop future budget assumptions, and provides insights as to the overall fiscal condition of the district while utilizing the district’s financial planning model to review revenue and expenditure projections for future budget years. The council also helps with recommendations to the school board on future budget targets and assumptions. The council presents an annual update to the school board and the community."

Preferred qualifications for applicants include a strong background in finance, economics, and/or accounting, along with experience in school finance and experience in business and financial matters, and the ability to declare no conflicts of interest.
